This blog is about the exploits of me, my dog Noddy and Archie the Van. (Here we are last year at a campsite in Kent in April 2007). Noddy and I are enthusiastic walkers with some unfortunate handicaps; I'm middle-aged and overweight, Noddy is 14, slightly arthritic and suffers from a canine form of vertigo. We are ambulatorily challenged. We move very slowly hence the ambling. It usually takes Noddy about half an hour to leave the car park as he insists on sniffing every vertical surface and leaving the dog equivalent of a text message.
However despite our obvious drawbacks, Noddy and I managed to complete the St Peters Way from Chipping Ongar to Bradwell Juxta Mare on the North Sea coast of Essex. The path is 45 miles long and we did it in 15 circular sections over about 8 months. I'm currently walking the London Loop without Noddy, see my other blog, London Loopy for details.
For our next joint challenge, I decided that we would tackle all the County tops of England. What's a County top I hear you ask? You will have to wait for next post!
